Cyclomec tablet

Composition
Each uncoated tablet contains :

Dicyclomine HCl I.P. 20 mg
Paracetamol I.P. 500 mg

Description
Dicyclomine is an anti – spasmodic, having direct intestinal and other smooth muscle relaxant activity. It is a synthetic anticholinergic drug used mainly for its antispasmodic and anti-secretory action. It exerts antispasmodic action at doses hich produce few atropin like side effects. It also has anti-emetic property; has been used in morning sickness and motion sickness.

Paracetamol belongs to a group of drugs known as Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, although it itself has no anti - inflammatory activity. Paracetamol is a clinically proven analgesic / antipyretic. Paracetamol is equal to aspirin in analgesic and antipyretic effectiveness and it is unlikely to produce many of the side effects associated with aspirin and aspirin containing products.

Indications
Cyclomec provides fast and effective relief from spasmodic pain and discomfort due to :
(a) Biliary colic
(b) Intestinal colic.
(c) Renal colic.
(d) Spasmodic dysmenorrhoea

Dosage and Administration
Cyclomec tablets should be taken with liquid. All dosages may be repeated every 6 hours to a maximum dosage of 4 tablets per day in adults.

Contraindication
(a) Hepatic failure since Paracetamol is metabolized in liver and can aggravate hepatic failure.
(b) Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Dicyclomine.

Adverse Effects
Cyclomec is very well tolerated. Adverse reaction are mild and infrequent. Skin reaction and other allergic reaction occur occasionally.

Presentation
Cyclomec Tablet : Blister of 10 tablets, box of 20 Strips.
