What Is the Difference Between Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen?

Analgesics are the most commonly used group of medications found in the market. Allover the world approximately 2 billion tablets sold in every weak, that's nearly one third of the world population, that's indicates the importance of the analgesics in our life.

Analgesics of commonly known as (Pain Killers) which is common mistake because there are huge differences between the two groups, actually analgesics is far less potent than (Pain Killers).

To get a close look about Analgesics we have to study pain first , pain which is a natural response triggered by some kind of harmful stimulus to your natural physiological state of wellbeing (healthy) , this action come from the secretion of a chemical compound called (Histamine) which causes the pain sensation , a process which completely regulated by brain.

So the gall here is to prevent the secretion of this material (which achieved by analgesics) or shut down the pain receptors in the brain (which achieved by the pain killers). That's why pain killers are also more potent .there are so many analgesics in the market like (ibuprofen, Diclofenac sodium, Naproxen, Indomethacin and the most famous over all is Aspirin which chemically known as acetyl salsylate) , they are all safe and effective except of some mild side effects like hyper acidity and hurt pain .

Pain Killers the powerful staff;

Pain killers are the group that kills the pain with brutality but that potent effect comes with major side effect of the job which are euphoria , addiction and sever physiological functions distress like (respiratory distress), names like (Morphine, Heroin, Pethidine, Tramadol which the most commonly used).

These drugs only dispensed by official prescriptions with full patient identification , diagnosis and date, are all under narcotics and control M.O.H regulations and laws.

Antipyretics (fever fighters)

Antipyretics which are the group of medications that treats fever which is a function that can be achieved also by analgesics, some of the most effective and safer members of that group are the Paracetamol containing medication like ( Panadol®) which kills the fever by controlling the temperature center in the brain, it can be used also in infants, children and pregnant or even lactating females .
